HFN Accolades Debut at NY Now

The new award program highlights editors’ picks at markets

HFN Accolade logoNEW YORK—Recognizing new products that showcase innovation and unique design, form and function, the HFN Accolades program launched last week at NY Now.

Selected by the editors, HFN Accolades will be given out at future markets as well, including the New York Tabletop Show, High Point Market, the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Show, the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, Las Vegas Market and the International Home + Housewares Show.

At the recent NY Now, 10 products were honored with HFN Accolades. First-time exhibitor Counterevolution showed its furniture and tabletop line, all made with recycled bowling lane materials. The accolade went to one of the line’s bar stools, with a fun, purple metal frame. Anna by Rablabs received an HFN Accolade for its accent tables and a desk made from slabs of polished gemstones on metal bases.

Accolades Anna by RablabsAlso recognized were Picnic Time’s Growler Totes that make it easy to carry the vessels when filled with local brew, using a strong canvas materials with an adjustable shoulder strap and ties that can accommodate slight variations in growler sizes and shapes. French company Cookut’s Creazy and Mayozen make easy and ecological whipped cream and mayonnaise, respectively, in one minute. Using just branded mason jars filled with recipe ingredients and silicone balls, the texture and thickness can be controlled by shaking the jar a few second more or less. Pasabahce’s Camp Collection includes a whiskey set inspired by a campfire, with copper-colored crossed “logs” that serve as a trivet for the rounded-bottom glasses.

Accolades CounterevolutionTwo colorful rug designs also earned HFN Accolades, including the Life is Tangy area rug from Eliko Antique & Decorative Rugs with painted motifs of all types in the midst of geometric shapes, and the Coral Design area rug from Amazing Rugs with a unique design of red splatter on a gray ground.

The Glam French Pinafore apron Allem Studio has pockets made out of gold tinsel, making it look unique and festive, which netted it an HFN Accolade.

Home décor winners included the Vallen Nero marble boxes from Madegoods, trimmed with red pen shell for a stylish pop of color, and Oliver Gal’s new, earthy rendition of the world map, made of preserved moss.

HFN Accolade recipients will be recognized through social media, an upcoming print issue as well as a special video.
